Hello my dear readers:
Today I bring you an activity to work on writing with 4th grade students.
My proposal is called My Robot and it consists of:
-Upload the worksheet to the blog for students to complete.
-Correct it in class.
-Distribute the sheets at random so that another classmate can draw the robot described.
-Once drawn, take a photo of it and upload it to animated drawing.
-When all the drawings are done, students have to try to guess which drawing goes with their description.
- Materials used๐
- Worksheet (Annex 3 and 4).
- Interactive whiteboard (IWB).
- Canva and animated drawing apps.
- Workplace arrangement ๐ญ
It does not matter what the arrangement is. In the first part of the activity, students should be seated in a chair and be able to write on a table, while the second part of the activity can be done in class seated individually, in a large group (as in the picture) or in the playground.
- Lesson’s procedure and explanation of the type of listening task ๐
Homeworks
I will upload a post that lists the homework you have to bring to class with the following text:
Hello my dear readers:
The activity you have to bring to class tomorrow is called my robot.
To do it, you have to invent a robot by following the instructions on the worksheet.
When you bring it to class, I will give you the following instructions.
1st session
When they come to class with their homework done, I will exchange the worksheet (Annex 3) they have brought with them for a different one. With the sheet I have just given them, I will also give them Annex 4 so that they can draw the robot according to the description on the sheet I have given them.
Once you have finished, you will have to upload your creation to Animated Drawings so that the owner of the description can guess what your imagined robot is.
